We launched a six-month Unleaded 88 promotional campaign in the Twin Cities metro area on April 15 with a two-hour event at a Holiday station in White Bear Lake. Unleaded 88 Saved MN Drivers $4.1 Million In First Two Months Of 2026

In the first two months of 2026, Unleaded 88 was priced at an average of 19 cents per gallon less than regular 87 octane fuel, according to the latest data from the Minnesota Department of Commerce. With 21.62 million gallons of Unleaded 88 sold in January and February this year, the savings of 19 cents per gallon translated to savings of $4.1 million at the pump for Minnesotans. MDA Announces Infrastructure Grants To Expand Access To Unleaded 88

The Minnesota Department of Agriculture announced today $4.7 million in grant funding is currently available under its Agricultural Growth, Research, and Innovation (AGRI) Biofuels Infrastructure Program to expand access to Unleaded 88 and other higher blends of ethanol.  The department said the application was currently open and closes June 2. Applicants may request between $5,000 and $199,000 per project.  MDA said applicants must have no more than 20 retail stations in Minnesota and must commit to 35 percent of the total project costs. Unleaded 88 Saved Minnesotans Over $2 Million In January

Minnesotans saved $2.27 million at the pump with Unleaded 88 in January, according to data from the Minnesota Department of Commerce. In January, the average price of Unleaded 88 was 20 cents lower than regular 87 octane fuel, the department reports. With 11.37 million gallons of Unleaded 88 sold that month, this translated to savings of $2.27 million for Minnesota consumers. As gas prices continue to rise due to the conflict in the Middle East, Unleaded 88 continues to offer Minnesotans some much needed relief at the pump. Find a station near you here.
