Unleaded 88’s price discount to regular 87 octane fuel in Minnesota amounted to savings of $3.25 million at the pump in the first two months of 2025.
According to data from the Minnesota Department of Commerce, Unleaded 88 was priced, on average, 15 cents less than regular 87 octane in January while in February, Unleaded 88 was 12 cents cheaper on average than 87 octane fuel.
With 12 million gallons of Unleaded 88 sold in January, this amounted to savings of $1.8 million for Minnesotans. In February, 12.12 million gallons of Unleaded 88 was sold in Minnesota, resulting in $1.45 million in savings at the pump.
Last year, Unleaded 88’s average discount to regular 87 octane yielded $24.26 million in savings for Minnesota drivers.
