Unleaded 88 sales in Minnesota in February totaled 12.12 million gallons, according to the latest data from the Minnesota Department of Commerce.
The 12.12 million gallons sold in February was slightly higher than the 12 million gallons recorded in January of this year.
In comparison to a year ago, the volume sold in February this year represented a 12.5 percent increase from the 10.77 million gallons sold in February 2024.
On a cumulative basis, 24.12 million gallons of Unleaded 88 were sold in Minnesota over the first two months of 2025, 11 percent higher than the 21.71 million gallons sold over the same period in 2024.
The Department of Commerce also reports that Unleaded 88’s average price discount to regular 87 octane fuel in the first two months of the year was 14 cents a gallon.
Last year, the annual volume of Unleaded 88 sold in Minnesota reached a new record – 142.75 million gallons.
