The latest data from the Minnesota Department of Commerce shows the total volume of Unleaded 88 from January to November exceeding the total volume sold in 2023.
According to the department, Unleaded 88 sales in Minnesota last year from January to November totaled 130.68 million gallons, exceeding the 127.55 million gallons recorded for the whole of 2023.
The Minnesota Department of Commerce said Unleaded 88 sales in November 2024 reached 11.53 million gallons.
This represented a 2.3 percent increase from the 11.26 million gallons recorded in November 2023.
In comparison to October 2024 (12.34 million gallons), the volume in November 2024 was slightly lower due to the shorter month and fewer stations reporting their volumes (385 in November compared to 388 in October).
The volume in November 2024 was also the ninth straight month Unleaded 88 sales in Minnesota have exceeded 11 million gallons. In 2023, monthly Unleaded 88 sales exceeded 11 million gallons seven times.
2024 was also the first year where monthly Unleaded 88 sales in the state surpassed the 12-million-gallon mark with 12.68 millions gallons sold in May, 12.27 million gallons in June, 12.59 million gallons in July, 12.64 million gallons in August and 12.34 million gallons in October.
